Sorry, I was switching the negatives. Well, after not being able to get it started with the new parts I put in all of the old stuff and am getting the same result. Getting spark just like with the new parts but will only pop out of the carbs. Checked the timing just in case and it is right at 2mm BTDC. Probably should've just left it the way it was, at least I could ride it lol

Just checked compression, low on both cylinders but really low on the cylinder that had the popping issue. Looks like it's time to do another top end. Who does cylinders on 2 strokes? Shops around here won't touch them. Also, what pistons should I go with?

Supertune is the man. You have three choices afaik for pistons. Super cheap HVC home brew, super gangster Wossner available at multiple locations or, eBay...
That's my experience with R5 pistons anyway.

Bore work is one of my specialties. Turn around can be fairly quick (less than a week) if just boring work.
Send me an email if wanting a quote.

Thanks guys!
