I've got a bike(Suzuki) I'm considering putting a Vape ignition on. Head has angled plugs and my micrometer is straight as used on the RD. Question is do I need a different micrometer?
Thanks in advance for any help

you can do it w an angled plug hole. i had to on my t500.

you can even use a piston stop. IF its an actual mic, set it to like 5mm from tdc, then swing around until its 5mm after tdc. those 2 points will be equal distance from TDC. mark the rotor and a pointer for each one. split the difference and thats your true TDC . same can be done w a dial gauge or piston stop (this is actually what they are made for).

after that, you need to back up the rotor to the desired angle and put it on, this is where  acheap digital protractor comes into play

how to w a piston stop tool.

hope that makes sense.

thats my t500, and been that way for years zero issues.

Mark, Is that  T500 crank or GT500?  The reason I ask is that Vape ship the same parts for both but the GT crank is longer and needed a spacer to move the coil assembly out to sit inside the rotor.  Dan at Re-Mix was extremely helpful and supplied the spacer to make it all work.  Highly recommend Re-Mx for Vape and PVL ignitions.

T500.

THE pei replacment is Product code: 720179900 (longer crank, GT500)

whereat the t500 is: Product code: 726179900 (points type, or t500)

you -SURE- you ordered the right one? ive personally seen both. so they do exist and are different. They may have shipped the wrong one as well.  :umm:
