Looks good Kandy! I was thinking about making one out of plastic as that is what I have in stock.

I never knew that it needs an adaptor between filter and y boot rubber..

Its just personal choice. I felt the filter is flimsy while tightening, so thought of giving a support.

you need at least a ring inside the k&n to keep it from collapsing. ive seen them out of pvc, etc. the unit john sold IMHO was the cleanest way.

UNI, unless its supported from the sides to restrict swinging it develops crack near the mouth over a period of time
