they are, those are early ones, had a set on an r5. the bellies are fat as hell. the power not so much but they are cool, they ran ok and sounded great.  those are correct headpipes ., i took the pics from that auction and used them in the pipe id thread BTW :patriot:

I know the guy who is selling them. He current has a whole RD lot selling for 800 bucks. Wicked cool guy that runs his own moped repair and power coating business.
Do not underestimate the power of a two-stroke.

1975 Yamaha RD350 (modified), 1973 Yamaha RD350 (stock), 1971 Suzuki T500, 1981 Yamaha XS650 HS2, 1982 Honda MB5, 1980 Puch Maxi, 1979 Puch Magnum, 1993 Tomos Bullet, 2003 Malaguti Firefox F15 LC

If you had a better set of stock 350 header pipes would they be fine with this setup. Other than the coating wouldn't match. Pipes are not a steal but I am close. Maybe could have better header pipes coated by him for good price?

m in sc

stock headerpipes are smaller and would have an issue sealing at the pipe. just fyi. yeah that one looks rough

RDFL

Do they run straight back like Bassani or upswept?

m in sc

straight like stockers

Thanks for the info on stock 350 header pipes on JR pipes! The reason I asked is because I have a brand new set of JR chrome pipes on my Daytona that I got off eBay last year. They fit my D stock header pipes just fine! I trust your opinion! Maybe the Daytona JR's didn't come with header pipes and were made to fit stock headers.?

triple1972

I also think they may be JR pipes not J&R. Unlike J&L ? Could be wrong I would have to look at decals that came with pipes. Small potatoes.

not being familiar witht eh daytona versions intimately, i -have- heard there were some later 400's that used stock pipes. (?) but cant answer.

jr, j&r, i think you are correct, its JR Power pipes.

RDFL

Just noticed the spec3 in description.

RDFL

The jacked up part of head pipe looks like it would be on bottom inside, hard to see on bike if at all.

RDFL

I assume these baffles (covers) are for another set of pipes.  ---
