ok, i'm converting a ramair gt250 to reed valve. after measuring the set-up on an rd250, the way i've made my set-up makes it about 25mm longer than the rd. is this unacceptable? will it sort of work? don't want to go ahead with the welding of the reed cage til i get an idea if it will work or not. any ideas, please reply  ;D
cheers, gil.

not super optimal but my H1 with reeds was out there about the same and it ran really, really well.  id go for it.

Gil Gallad

thanks for that. so, it looks like thunderbirds are go  8)
cheers, gil.

Your on the right track. Leave room for reed tips to move and breathe.
Waiting for a cheap GT250 to cross my path. We didn't get X7's here

Gil Gallad

i never liked the x7 anyway. at the side of a proper ramair gt250 it looked like a girl's bike  ;D
cheers, gil.
p.s. apologies to any x7 owners out there, just my personal opinion.
