What's a decent used R5 crank worth?

Do people have these lying around in piles, or are they getting scarce? I'm collecting stuff for a spare engine just cuz I like to. Considering the cost of a pro rebuild, what would you pay for one in unknown condition?
Every day above ground is a good one.

If I needed one to rebuild I suppose I'd pay 50.00 or so. If I was buying one that was supposedly usable but I didn't know the seller maybe 125.00ish, But I'd want good pics and vids with sound. If I knew the seller and I knew they were trustworthy then probably upwards to 200.00 or so for a good usable one.

Thanks J. Those prices sound reasonable, and are in line with what i consider realistic, also. :vroom:

You should consider any RD 250/350 crank.  They are interchangeable with the R5/DS7 crank.  Used crank prices are awfully difficult to set accurately.  The only bearings worth evaluating are the big end (con rod) bearings and the inner mains.  If there is any question about the big ends, vertical play or excessive lateral play, or the inner mains are rough the crank is worth no more than $100 and that is the flywheels and labyrinth seal look like new.  Of course, you will replace the outer mains with new ones when you use it.
