ITS SUPER COOL, there was a run of G3 'gap' builds, john def won with a -mostly- stock motor except that cyl....    it is a cool little runner.
So what are you saying Willis about John's cylinder rabbit out of a hat trick?
C

Well, the displacement was set at 100ccs, so it has a 100cc cylinder
G7/ KH100/ KE 100 cylinder? Or something more exotic?  In Norway, the 81- onwards KH and KE came with a lower output (7hp) cylinder, due to driver licence rules. These had a smaller/ lower exhaust port, only 3 transfers, and also a rotary valve with less open duration.  I actually made some pocket money in 81/82, modifying the exhaust ports and rotary valves of those "neutered" models. With slightly more exhaust and inlet duration than a stock 5-transfer port model, they would run great, even when having only 3 transfer ports. Sort of a shame they do not lend themselves to a big bore piston. I love rotary valve 2 strokes :)
