MOPEDARMY
« on: September 05, 2020, 12:23:10 AM »
My first bike was a moped and I loved it. It was an old two stroke puch maxi. Much of what I know about now came from working on those simple engines. A helpful resource that i used and still use today was Moped Army (https://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/popular/). Their forum has so much information and wiki pages to help those who need to understand timing, ring gap, chambers, and etc. I highly suggest checking out the site, information is not limited to mopeds.
Do not underestimate the power of a two-stroke.

I had RD’s (yes multiple,haha) before I had a moped. Now, I have 2 Puch magnums (1 built), 2 Vespa Ciao's, 1 2018 Tomos sprint, 1 Italjet Packaway, and just got a PA1 Honda Hobbit.
I love Mopedarmy!
I second Mopedarmy as a resource for mopeds and some nopeds!

.... and just got a PA1 Honda Hobbit.

We have a huge moped scene here in Portland.

I had a yellow PA2 Hobbit when I was in highschool.  It was waay faster than my friends' Puchs, when it was running.

I would love to have another one now that I know what I'm doing.

Wasting time on 2T forums since the dawn of the internet.

The PA50II was a beast of it's own. It was variate, could run a stock carb with BBK and a pipe and could pull 50~55mph. I was a puch guy with my maxi and magnum. I love the TOMOS as well but it was just a better Puch. Gotta love these little things.
