Hi guys
Got these all balls bearing set for the front and rear.

The rear has 3 bearings
2 big and one smaller

Now if i fit both big bearings on the sprocket side, it Cant take Any seal, so do I only fit one bearing or? 🤔🤔

the 3rd bearing isn't used on a cast 400 wheel. thats for rd 350/350 with separate sprocket carrier.

Having doubt here Cant trust my haynes 😁

Is it bearing in, spacer and bearing on other side
Then fit the small spacer Inside the bearing on the sprocket side?
Or

I kind of think the smal l spacer needs to be on the Inside of the bearing having that Extra mm spacer touvhing the big spacer making it one solid piece for the axle

should always be a spacer between the bearings in the wheel. usually has a thin metal collar on it about halfway down.

Yes i got it.
So the big spacer in the wheel with the collqe and qlwo q small one sittin in one of the bearings wirh a small collar to go against that spacer and it makes a perfect fit.

Does anyone have dimensions for an RD400 cast wheel bearing spacer for use inside the wheel between the spacers?  I've lost mine and wanted to make a new one.

you know the id, make the od the same as the inner bearing race od (min) and go .5 mm longer than shoulder on rim. this will keep bearings from crushing. ;)

dont forget to make the middle ring so it wont 'fall down' inside the rim.

I need the length.  As you suggested, I know the inside diameter and the outside one isn't critical.
