If the TZR/SP is not my next full rebuild project, then this RGV VJ21 will be.
I bought this the same time as I bought my VJ22SP, as a package deal (everything in the guys shed out back)
In sorry shape and well abused...it was a complete bike and running at one point.





As the years have passed buy I ended up finding a set of genuine VJ21SP forks for it, and then i put on a RF600 3.5x17 front wheel with some early 750 katana rotors.



Then after i put the front end on I decided before I throw more parts at it I need to see if I can get it to run. So first thing was pull carbs and put them in the sonic tank.



Not long after that.....it started smoking again....





After riding it around the block a few times, I decided it was worthy of being saved and started getting more parts...



One of my best auction scores was the top set of pipes VJ21 Suzuki kit pipes.

Swapped out the 18x4 rear wheel for a 17x4.5 from a VJ22, fits just fine.
Will add the GSXR/SP swingarm after I get it cut down about a 1/4 inch on both sides.

Now with 3.5 front and 4.5 rear, I can run regular 120x70 and 160x60 tires with sticky compound.

Went to Chicago and picked up my crate from Japan at the shipping company Thursday, looks like a lot of work ahead....  3XV2

The TZR still has it's original 36 Mikuni powerjet carbs.....Impossible to find if missing on these....

You will be pleased with the 3XV once you get it going.

Compression check showed 165psi, so it still seems healthy to some degree.
Hope to get the carbs back on the RZV tomorrow, and then I'll get the TZR carbs off for the sonic tank.
Then hopefully get the TZR fired up and go for a quick spin out in the country before complete rebuild
