Are all the head bolt fasteners the same.. for all 70-79 twins?
I just checked the parts manual.. looks like they have the same part number..
So I'm guessing yes.

Yamaha 179

They are similar but the later models (I don't know when they changed) have a washer integral to the head of the bolt while the earlier ones just have a normal bolt head.

I just put some like that on a project the other day.  Can't see them too well with stock heads, but it will run so much better with them. :dawg:
Every day above ground is a good one.

Made yourself, or got from Fondseca in the UK?  And are they ok with 20NM, or more torque?
They add up to a nice little weight saving, so I am tempted.....

got em out of the uk, not fondseca. was over a lb savings.

torqued to 18 ft lbs no problems.

Do you mind sharing who make them?
The Fondseca ones are for TZs, so too long for an AC RD.
