It is fun, nice and light, nimble, makes the right noises.  I built it for my Brother, I'll deliver it this week.  The old DT bikes of the '70s make a pretty good platform for this type of conversion because Yamaha (and others) didn't yet know how to build a purpose built dirt bike.  I did brace the frame just a bit to help with the added traction of the Avons on pavement.  Geometry is right on for what it is.  I have an RT 360 motor that is a bolt in for this chassis and I'll build that motor over the winter for next season, 250 is good for now.  I have three others that I'm working on same basic idea.

Here's an R/DT360 we built a few years ago for a 6hr endurance race at a local kart track.  Looks to be pretty similar spec.

Wasting time on 2T forums since the dawn of the internet. '89 TDR250, '13 300xcw, '23 300xcw, '24 Street Triple RS, '56 Porsche 356A, '88 325is.  Too many toys.
