rd400 left side engine case.

does anyone know why there would be a rd400 ignition side cover on my rd350b?

i had to make a shield to cover an opening left by the 400 case to cover the counter shaft sprocket.

yes it is a 350 engine with serial number 351.

Just Ebay the correct side cover. Keep the 400 cover for the next bike :).

ive seen that done before, not sure of any advantage..? I have the cover, not sure of the points cover though. I don't need them, i think i have 5+. they would all need repainting though. PM me i'll send it for cost of shipping.

don't get me wrong. the covers fit and clutch work great. i was just wondering if this was some sort of update to make your clutch work better??
