i use it on hardware as well, its really good for nuts and bolts. used it a LOT when i was doing the galaxie, that car stuff can get just nasty.

Carb cleaner as in Berrymans the stinky one that comes in a gallon can with a basket?

I believe he uses Gunk & WD40.
Almost 5 years ago when I was seeking out a recipe to use I collected info on what people used in their tanks. I still have that file with about 4 or 5 preferred concoctions. Mark's was 75% Gunk carb cleaner & 25% WD40.
