Hey I just finished reading and admiring the eye candy of this Bike EXIF online article about this fine beast. What a jaw dropping ride and here's the link.

This is another of the interesting TZ750 stories from back in the day, could you imagine Yamaha deciding to try endurance racing a M1

Hi Tony27, wow that was an amazing feat to read about. I kinda glossed over it from beginning to end and honestly it seems like there is no end to what can surprise me. So should I be surprised?...but I have to say Yamaha must've figured why the heck not and let's just push the development of this motor and see how far she'll go.

Getting back to that old TZ750 flat tracker made famous by King Kenny Roberts. It seemed like the recorded complaint that banned the bike from competition was about tire technology not being able to get the power to the ground so the bike was simply too much to handle. Funny thing is to look at those bikes it seemed like they were physically all motor. This little wedge of a saddle meeting the most narrow of a tank and frame but the width of engine jutting out just below. I just couldn't imagine how a rider would keep from banging their legs against it. But no one seemed to complain about it. Just goes to show if they could make it run and keep it running then get the thing to go where they pointed it then worry about the rest later. These guys were just nuts.
