The Big Brown Goody truck arrived this afternoon. Two boxes for me. The silicone hose set from Economy Cycle and the pipes from Wicked Motorsports.

The L shaped hose is a near perfect fit. I had to trim it slightly.    Thanks John!!

The GPI radiator and big cylinders held almost 1.5 quarts of 50/50.

The Wicked Pipes were extremely well packed and arrived in perfect condition.

The pipes are huge and very well built.

The RH chamber went on without a hitch other than some difficulty figuring out how to get the head pipe with the big o-ring to slide onto the cylinder spigot.  A little two stroke oil helped. It was still rough going but I got it. The RH chamber fit well other than the can being too close to the axle which will be addressed. The cans also have built in o-rings to seal them to the flange.

The LH chamber is another story. It is very close to the LH center stand mounting lug and the side stand and spring. I bent the lug but no joy. Surgery will be required at the House of Haase. The spring is also striking the pipe with the side stand up.

Both cans will need some finaggling as well as they are too close to the axle and will be dealt with at the House of Haase.

I have the same issue with their pipes on my 400, right inline with my axle.

Been following along with interest, tasty upgrade   85HP huh?...now I've been reading about others with this top end and they claim 90-95HP. So would that be 85 at the rear wheel?

m in sc

well see. 90-95 is def possible.

all the mechanical work was completed, little fussy things like side stand spring     :science:  relocation and spacing pipes but basically, minor but important detail stuff. and one massively stuck chole plunger assembly i had to absolutely destroy to get out of the 'new' carb (that sat forever from the seller), luckily i had a large PWK/Keihin one on hand to replce it with.

tomorrow: tuning day.  :burnout:

85hp is a significant increase over stock.  Anyone know how those pipes work compared to say SEPC2 early designs? Asking for a friend

WRT the choke plunger comment.  I have taken to testing them with a vacuum pump (Mityvac or similar) because I have had a number of cases where the rubber tip looked fine but the bike ran rich on one cylinder.  On a TZ I recently had a pair of linked chokes and the linkage was a poofteenth too short and barely cracked the choke open on one side and it ran like a dog until I fixed it.
