I like it. Seems like a reasonable price, especially with a spare motor.

Nice enough for me. I passed on a ratty one 25 years ago after an unimpressive test ride. I remember thinking it wasn't as quick as my RZ, but I probably should have bought it.
I post waayyy too much

I should have a chance to take a NS400R for a spin in a few weeks.  My riding buddy just bought one, and he wants to switch to try my TZR at some point.

My initial impression of the Honda is it's overall a bit larger and more of a street bike than the TZR.  It has typical Honda details, compared to the more basic TZR.

It sounds much more muted than the TZR (mine doesn't have the stock silencers, so that may be part of it).

The NS also has a 16" front wheel, which is kind of an oddity at this point.

I love how the fuses are laid out in plain sight. Please tell me that there is supposed to be some kinda cover there. I do think this is a pretty cool two wheeled hot rod otherwise.

I don't recall seeing the fuses on my buddy's NS, and it's not like Honda to have them exposed.

That one, to me, looks like trouble.

Yeah it's interesting. Now I know you can obtain aftermarket bus bars to mount them on. Just trying to understand if it's OEM or just a mod that's executed down and dirty.  :umm:

I know less than nothing about these bikes but noticed the exposed fuse panel too. Also, it appears to be a 3 cylinder? Wonder if it vibrates. The side decal says NS500R- is that custom to reflect the upgraded CC? Pretty bike but a little odd.

thats got to be an aftermarket fuse panel , generic automotive one by the looks of it. didnt notice it before. still, spare motor, rare bike titled and hot rodded. not a resto candidate but if one were inclined, still worth it. especially w paperwork

Yep that's a bitch'in bike. I really don't know nothing about them. I love looking at the spare motor. Just looks mean and real as a triple should. Got any idea what kinda power that maybe puts out? I imagine it must handle pretty good, another thing to consider is the cbr wheel upgrade, I assume those are 17's front and rear? and I imagine that makes for easier tire selection if not better handling?
