You should not need sealer with the oring.
I put sealer on the key and both side of the key way on motors with out the oring

if you have the oring IMHO theres no sealant needed.  :twocents:

Does that mean  on motors where there is no groove in the crank for o-ring, or you substitute sealant and skip the ring even if there is a groove? :cheerleader:

What about the full swap into RD350 center cases but with an R5 clutch cover - would you still need to do any grinding on the inside of the cover? I am using R5 side covers just for the aesthetics of them.

Same thing. A few mms need to be ground off or some double up gaskets.
