I used Sonic springs in my 400, really easy to do and they came with good instructions. I used 10wt oil.  I ended up cutting the spacers a little short, then used washers to get it right.

Yup, as Drew said. Here's an explanation from Chuck on the topic https://www.2strokeworld.net/forum/index.php?topic=1681.0
You'll need to trim the tab too of course for an AC engine

Thanks everyone!!! You all are awesome!  :righteous:

I'm sorry that I missed this, we've been distracted lately. We weren't thinking of my birthday because on the 3rd she had a second major reconstructive surgery after her double mastectomy 4 years ago so we were focusing on that. She's in pain, aggravated that she can't do anything, but she lit up when I told her that you guys are still taking about the dessert that she made for you ! Thanks for that!

I've been there too! Last year, the day before leaving for deals gap! Thankfully the Chinese stainless washer wasn't proper stainless and a magnet got it..

I completely missed this.. I'm not here nearly enough.

Thanks again Mark!

This whole debacle started because I didn't pay attention and I bought banshee Vforce reeds instead of YZ85 reeds for my stage 2 top end build. Garrett @ GRA2strokes did the excellent top end work, and just did what his dumb customer wanted and made the intakes big enough. I also rushed the assembly once the parts were in my hands because I was trying to get it done before going to the Gap and most likely got the epoxy mix wrong. Lesson learned!  Remember the tips shared on the board and order the right parts next time!!

Coil relay mod is installing a relay to power your coils directly from the battery. I'd also recommend that you get a "proper" battery. I've used the alarm batteries before and they never hold up. If you can swing it, upgrade to electronic ignition. Or go for the Vape CDI and charging system, I did and I have NO electrical problems now 😁

I like the aluminum stalk lights from K&S,Part # 25-8303 for the dual filament , part # 25-8300 for the single filament. The only issue I've had is that they're so small that there's no space around the bulbs and vibration causes the mounting tab on the socket to break then the bulb breaks on the housing.. So I used led panels from eBay with double sided mounting tape after a little grinding for clearance. An electronic flasher from autozone completed it.

Take your time with the install, it's easy really. I think it took me longer to remove all of the old system then it did to install the new.
You'll have to remove a small bit of the case and some from the back side of the side cover to get it all to fit but it's really not bad. The instructions mention some of that.
