I have 2 aluminum swing arms that are supposed to be for a RD400 Daytona. I'm trying to identify what brand they are. Pretty sure the top one is DG. Not sure about the other. :umm:

Top looks like CalFab, bottom looks more like DG.

I'm no expert on swingarms but none of the DG arms I've seen had an "I" beam style of tube.  They were all "flat" or a standard box tube like the bottom arm. The gussets on the inside of the bottom one look weird though for DG.

Not sure about the top one because it appears to have unusual shaped axle plates. They're shorter and more square than the typical ones used on DG, CalFab, MotoCarrera, etc.  As said above I've never seen a DG that didn't use smooth-walled rectangular tubing.

The one on the bottom looks like a CalFab due to the diamond-shaped welded-in gussets on the inside of the boxed area, and the large circular dimpled area in the box section.  This one appears the have a brake stay tab on top and on the bottom which would permit use with either RD400F or RD400C/D/E.

The one on the bottom is Cal-Fab, I had one on my Daytona.

Found this on a Japanese site. Advertised as Calfab for KZ1000. Hmmm? Maybe both Calfab? Different type design? The top one was actually mounted to a Daytona. Had an early H1 gas tank mounted too. No telling on the bottom one.Calfab swing arm fort KZ1000.jpg

The new calfab arms have that same I style section, Just with a much nicer axle adjuster.IMG_6214__62961.jpg[attach id=19009]IMG_6214__62961.jpg

Before you get TOO excited, no swingarm will fit all those bikes. The Rd400s had that dumb collar thingme that goes through the brake arm, so the slot for the axle is wider on one side.
The Daytona's were different again.
But it does look a lot like the DG swinger I got... I understand there was more than one version of DG swingarms

Not to beat a dead topic, but expanding on what Bitzz said.  Regarding a non-F 400 DG swinger, I've had one on my 350 for years.
Details you need to know:
- a 400 DG is 2" longer over stock from a 350.
- it's almost plug and play.
- a kind member here machined a cool extender for the rear fender, so it arches properly.
- the longer geometry hasn't affected handling that I can tell, other than make me work a bit more throttle for wheelies.
- a machinist friend made me several of the right side bushings needed to fit the 350 axle in the 400 swingarm slot.  I thought it may be a wear item but in years, it's never needed replacement SO if anyone wants to mate a 400 swingarm to their 350, I could provide the needed bushing.  The fender extension would still need to be dealt with.

Are the DG RD350 swingers longer than stock? It would make sense.
The DG swinger I have was put together using American imperial dimensioned stock, which makes the ID of the cross tube an imperial dimension... that fits on a metric dimensioned axle, so there is no bearing that fits.
I counterbored the tube and installed metric roller bearings

The DG RD350 arm is about 1" longer than the stock piece.
The DG RD350 and DG400 parts are different lengths (400 is about 1" longer) and one axle slot is wider on opposite sides.
The DG RD400 and RD400F are the same except the brake stay mounting tab is on bottom for the 76-78 version and on the top for the F/G version. There are some 400 arms that have both mounting lugs top & bottom which permits use on any 400 from 1976-80 (like the bottom example in the first picture above from the OP)
