:olaf:#1 who has a t shirt that has been around the wold [created by this forum]?

I have been a part of this forum for a few years.
I have meet a few of the top contributors over the years.
Some I want to meet as  I think we all do..
Would it be a bad thing to see if we can all meet at one place?
Kind of like a blind date we know to much about each other..!!!!
Being a old fart that has been away from this forum for a while, what do the new bee's think about this Proposition.
I think a large portion of the forum is in CA, other are about the US- like me.
Do you think Las Vegas would be a good spot? Me in Texas- you in ??? Vegas is a good [don't tell the wife]
Conference of Trailing edge Technical and administrative advancement &  coordination to change the world.  Or TAACW or something like that..

OK yes Mark will have to do some work [hi mark] to get group rates and a group area.. But on the cheap we can meet at ????? no conference room needed. We should just crash a wedding -?- I am that bad..
I am thinking of 20 guys, at best 30 guys. OK  we have over a thousand- but not all in the us,,,

I have got to meet many infomus [bad boys we are] in the 2 stoker/bean oil burning community.
1st run have fun- 2nd run invite racers/tuners/ manufactures [not Honda]..
1st run- If we make a presence on the infonet[ oil burning SOBS] maybe people will take note of the trailing edge SOB we are.
Repeat for more fun [sponsored]- OK
1st run- some one has to strike it rich gambling and fund all of us...
Need more help on acromins..
JT
pn- I am a lost 2 stroke sole looking for caster scented like minded persons.

Come to Deal's Gap next May.

If you must gamble there's a casino in Cherokee. Almost everything about the place is better that LV:

Quiet - Except for wheelie hill.
Safe - More or less. If you camp the local bears probably won't bother you. The Dragon is always hungry.
Exclusive - The roads make it difficult to get in/out for most local civilians (not difficult enough IMO).
Excellent weather - Unless it rains.
Exciting - Every direction you go is a road that's great on a motorcycle.
Easygoing - Mostly nobody cares how you behave. Mostly...
Scenic - Right in the middle of a group of hardwood forests on the edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
VIP - The group is in tight with the resort management and the entire resort is reserved for 2-strokes!

It's closer to Texas than Las Vegas. No prostitutes that I am aware of so the wife won't object. There's nothing to waste money on except t-shirts and beer. If you have a big jones for tourist traps Gatlinburg is just down the road. Plus it's a great group of guys who will be there anyway. Much of the hard work is already done...

The brain-trust thing is a matter of opinion. Everyone there knows more about 2-strokes than I do. ...So in my judgement it's concentrated 2T genius.

Be a long haul from the West coast though. That's unfortunate. Vegas is a long way from here too.

yeah we've tried other meets, including the one that was in Ohio years ago. I was there, blew up an S2 quite spectacularly as well.

Gap is a week long event, then theres the 2 stroke extravaganza on the west coast, more high dollar bikes but 1 day only.

Barber is prob the best centralized location, vintage days just passed though, so thats a year out.

Deals Gap 2 stroke week is def the best bet IMHO.  Hours long wrench sessions and full builds some years.

next may, already have my accommodations sorted.   :metal: :olaf:

I talked to some local friends who were up there when that guy flipped the Ferrari. It was at Gravity Cavity for those who know the Dragon. He lost the front end and hit the embankment. They said he was head-to-toe in official Ferrari merch. Hat, shirt, pants, shoes, everything. His ego is gonna be wrecked until he gets his new replacement. That is NOT a supercar road.

They were having some event on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Unfortunately people like him are becoming more common up there. It's still the guys in big pickups trying to use a shortcut that are the most dangerous so far. They'll kill you trying to straighten the curves. At least that guy stayed in his lane. ...Rubber side up.

"The guys in big pickups", although they have inexcusable driving habits, are quite often using a US highway to get back-and-forth between home and work. But they drive that way everywhere, not just on US129. I'd like to see the "rumble strips" between lane like they have done on part of US129 toward 441, down the center. Might upset handling for people over-cooking on 2 wheels though. I no longer take the road except in December through February nice days.
