LOL dont all jump at once. have you checked your tank vent lately??
Nope haven't checked or had it apart on my Daytona. Should I?
I do have my 125 cap apart currently on my workbench though.
that fibrous gasket or diaphragm must have a hole in it, mine was so plugged it looked like it wasnt even there but i found out where its supposed to be from steve turner and sure enough plugged with a solid rust plug geeze now maybe it will vent

Hmm, good to know. I'll have to take a look at mine. It's never been checked in the ~15 years I've had the bike. Actually I have the tank off currently to flush out the inside and rebuild the petock, so it's a good time.
hi russ, there is also a few pin holes in the metal parts of the cap that you must make sure are clear also. but in my case it didnt matter with that fiber gasket plugged up
