Thanks Scully,... I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed

That seems very unusual for a bike like that to have so many miles. It would be interesting to know the history on the mileage.

Turning Wrenches / Re: RD Petcocks (125 - 350)

Not trying to hijack your thread but I am also in need of the same petcock  for my project.
I am wondering why some petcocks (on e bay)  that are listed as fitting rd350's are $7.50 w/ free shipping but are not the same. Why are the ones that we need are 80 and the others are just $7.50 ? Just wondering?

Still collecting parts for the rd350 bare bones project so now looking for handlebar stuff: throttle control, master cylinder, clutch perch, levers etc.
Not looking for original controls and parts,... just the bare minimum.
Any brands / sources that anyone can recommend would be appreciated. Thanks

General Chatter / Rearset Question
May 10, 2019, 08:36:45 AM
I bought RD350 rearsets from Slipstream Cycles off ebay,... Pretty sure the seller name is vintagerider.
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.
I noticed that there seems to be no mention or plan for a rear brake light switch. (unless I totally missed something)
Just wondering if this is normal with other rearsets?

I'll go with the 13- 1/2,.....And I do like those JL's a lot,....Kinda makes me wanna throw rocks at the DG's on my other bike.
Thanks for the input!

I found this pic of Retard's bike on the forum,... Looks like it has JL pipes on it. Those dont look like they would have any chain clearance issues (at any height). Nice pipes but pretty pricey.

Thanks Guys, I guess I'm "trying to get the cart in front of the horse"

I do have it mocked up at the 14 inch shock height,...thats where I really like the looks of it.
Looks like adequate chain clearance on the swingarm. I guess there is really no way to know the answer without having an exhaust set to look at. Looks like the exhaust type is going to dictate the height

I have a stock rd350 with DG pipes,... No way those would work.
Thanks Again for your input!
