My my how bad could a fire be to all your sockets, Allen wrenches and other small tools?
So bad it will make you cry.
But thank God for a big bucket full of Evaporust.
2 weeks of deep sleep bath, and then a day of  draining, rinsing, drying and a heavy coat of WD40.

Even if you get them cleaned up, chances are that they have lost their temper. Tools I have seen in houses after wildfires were unusable and only good for scrap.

I concur. The Fire Marshall told me the same thing. Do yourself a favor and get rid of the stuff.

Make a list of the stuff and make your homeowners replace it. That's the ideal situation. I suppose that ship has sailed if you are trying to repair it.

I've already been taken care of but the insurance.
Most of this stuff was inside a box and didn't see direct fire but I get what you guys are saying.
