Stop staring at my tail(s)

I stopped by the junk shop last night for some retail therapy and found these tail units. Both said "Kawasaki" to me, and the blocky one has a part number on the bottom identifying it as a KZ1300 unit. A couple of eBay sellers think they're worth over $200...
The blue one says KZ to me. It has a doored toolbox built into it, says: "Made in Japan", but no part number that I can find. Anyway, I just like them and might use them for a build. I was ready to offer $50 for the pair, but the proprietor said $40 before I could make my offer. Winning!
