I know where you're going, but if something better is available then why not? And another plus is the nice dual colors you get.

ive put well over 6k on the aluminum one on the r5, still looks new.
me, if you were looking for a dual material one, ig just get one for another bike with hopefully the right center hole diameter and redrill it. maybe look for early xs650 ones.  or, get a hold of rebel gears, see of they will make you one.  but ive never seen one for an rd anywhere. youre going to have to get creative.

Just buy a new one when it's worn out, they are not very expensive and it not like they only last a few hundred miles.  You will probably wear out pistons faster than you will the sprocket, might as well put some steel slugs in there as well.

Suoersprox make custom steel/alloy sprockets to your spec. I recommend you convert to 520 at the same time. I use DID x ring 520 om mine

Yeah, buy a good chain, keep it and the sprockets clean. They should last a long time. The RD is by no means a heavy or powerful bike compared to many that run 520 stuff.
