Turning Wrenches / Daytona wheels on 77 rd400
June 06, 2021, 03:09:34 PM
Hey guys, i want to use Daytona wheels on my 77 rd400. Front wheel is easy , but dont know what to do with rear one. I checked tech library, didnt find much information. The problem is the hub dust caps, how much should grind the hub dust cap spacers to get perfect fit.  :umm:

Turning Wrenches / Re: Banshee crank in rd400
July 27, 2020, 05:32:45 PM
Wow. excellent work. So it can  fit in rd400 cases also. But rd400 crankshaft webs are quite big as compared to rz350/banshee. That means if we fit rz350 / banshee crank the crankcase volume will increase. Will it effect the overall performance.

Turning Wrenches / Banshee crank in rd400

Has anyone tried using banshee stroker crankshaft in rd400. Its +4mm that is I think equal to stock rd400 connecting rod. I understand its long made for banshee cases but we can modify the side covers. Crankcase volume will increase for sure. What else. Can we use it anybody tried it.

General Chatter / Swing arm bearing kit
June 11, 2020, 05:10:01 PM
Guys, I am searching for a swing arm bearing kit for my daytona. Looking for cheaper alternatives. Can we mount xs650 kit made by All balls on daytona. As I can see the kits available on economy cycles and hvc have same part number for xs650.

Turning Wrenches / Racetech springs OR progressive
June 01, 2020, 04:09:52 PM
Guys, i am planning to restore my forks for daytona. Thinking of changing the springs. Which one is good option. Calculated the spring rate from racetech website and got 0.77kg/mm. Looks like Progressive doesnt have different models/option , only one set of spring fits all. And how much should be the fork oil level?

Turning Wrenches / VM30 carbs
May 26, 2020, 06:22:21 AM
Hello, I want to change carbs on my 78 rd400. Its a ported setup. Stage 1 with Yz85 reeds and rz350 cross-over. Bike has spec 2  exhausts. Could anybody tell me the jetting numbers for vm30. Read many positive reviews regarding tm34 also. So just confused with what to use vm 30 or tm34. Not sure if tm34 are good option for stage 1.  :umm:
