Does anyone know if these will fit the RD400.
They are from a RD125.
Look to be in good condition chrome-wise

Same last part numbers, but prefix is different.

Got an RD400 with Low Bars, and want to convert back.

Handlebars in 1st post look a little tweaked.
I'd go for something that a member on here might have to offer.

Milan

Yes,

I re-looked at pictures & they seem bent.

Are the RD125 handlebars, the same as the RD400?

RDFL

The first posted say $115.12 for shipping?

Milan

Ya I noticed that, about the shipping

If they were not bent, as stated above, I would msg him about the postage.

Here is another one, that he says is slightly bent. Better price & shipping
But need to make sure it fits an RD400.

Back in '76 when I tried out an RD400c, it had stock (USA stock) bars on it and felt like a dirt bike. Too high and way too wide (but gave great leverage). I had them put CB400F bars on it and was very happy. Superbike bars are a bit lower than the original RD400c bars and not as wide. Emgo "Euro" bars come very close to the originals IMHO.

same last 5 digits.

First 3 are different.
If the part number is not the exactly same they are not identical parts. However, that's not saying that they may or may not fit OK.

337-26111-00-00 HANDLEBAR - RD125, RD200, RS100, CS5
2L0-26111-00-00 HANDLEBAR - RD400, RD250, RD350. R5, DS7, XS400, XS650, XJ550

The first three numbers is the part family, typically the model where the part was first used. Obviously these two parts are made for different models and therefore not the same. The second group of numbers (26111) denotes the part location, so all handlebars will contain this sequence. "2" is for frame section, "61" is for the part location on the bike, and the "11" is the actual part number.
The 9th character identifies changes or variations from the original part number. For example, 0 for standard bars and 1 for high bars.
And the 10th character is for design code changes.

I don't have both sets of bars here to compare but I would guess that the RD125 bars are smaller overall (narrower and not quite as high) but very similar in bend. I can measure my OEM RD125 bars if you would like.

EDIT:
Forgot to include superseded parts. The currently listed bars for the RD400 were actually superseded a few times from the original part number:
278-26111-00-00
278-26111-01-00
278-26111-02-00
2L0-26111-00-00
(And the XS650C bars 584-26111-00-00 were also superseded to the current 2L0 part)

The RD125 bars started life as a YR1/YR2 bar with part number 156-26111-00-00 before being changed to 337-26111-00-00
156-26111-10-00 HANDLEBAR - YR1 YR2, DS6, YDS6, YM2C, YR2C
There was a high version for this bar: 156-26111-10-00 HANDLEBAR, UP - YR1 YR2, DS6, YDS6, YM2C, YR2C, R3

I went ahead & got some off Ebay.
tried to gauge the dimensions as best I could.

Owner said I could return them if no good.
So just wasting postage.

Be interested in knowing your dimensions.
May be able to cancel prior to him shipping
