Bike Bandit Bancrupsy

So it looks like Bike Bandit went bankrupt in January and just kept on taking orders on their site until recently with no intention of ever shipping anything.
If it isnt difficult enough to buy parts these days, now people have to deal with this.

They have $646,000 of customer's money and haven't shipped the parts.

Surprising. I've bought many things over the years from them (although not in the last year or two). I wasn't aware that the place had been sold in 2017 but I remember the original sale in 2015.
It sucks to lose another big vendor in the industry and it sucks even more that they screwed people. The owner and his BK filing sound very shady.

I bought a bunch of stuff from them when I was racing. Had not in a couples years though.
I was looking to get a new helmet from them but bought elsewhere just a month ago.
Sure sucks. They used to be the cheapest for tires.

Had trouble with them about 6 to 8 months ago, about not shipping stuff.
Had to file a PayPal claim

I never purchased from them and like to support my local dealer when possible. For special items, I use and recommend Economy Cycle who supports this site. If something is back ordered from the dealer and is going to take some time to receive, my go to mail order parts vendor is partzilla/ boats.net which are owned by the same company and have a huge warehouse in Albany GA which is only 90 miles from me.
