Hi guys
I have a set of Old tired rd400 lower fork legs.
I Want Them to be as factory spec, how do I go about it?
Any tips
Maybe bead blast /water polish to get Them Clean and treat Them somehow afterwards?
If you want to stay true to the factory look, I would not bead blast. You'd have to sand them with varying grits but not over polish and then finish with a laquer.
This guy knows how to get them perfect. He did mine. Maybe you could message him for tips.

Correct, it's a brushed finish. I think the contact provided above is the same person I was thinking of; sandman900ss. He was our resident expert on this topic from the the old site. He's still a member here but has not been active in a while.
Perfect
Thank you.
What about the stock look rims? How

Vapor blasting is great for the alloys. Then polish and brush the rim strip.
"Sandman" sandman900ss does factory correct restorations, I've seen his bikes in person and had him do some powder coating in the past.
His name is Alex and although I can't do Assbook, if Alex Calais is in Illinois I bet that's him...
Him for sure. He did some speciality pieces for my restomod. His work is spot on. Beautiful without being over done. Great guy and class act too.
Thanks guys
But US is a bit far to send my fork legs for treament, i Will properly try to have them water polished and then take it from there
