I have 2 RD350s, a 73 and 74. One is pre-mix, the other autolube. Both were restored and run well. A few months ago both began to flood on the choke side carburetor as soon as fuel valve was opened, flooding that side of the engine.  A few gentle taps on bowl will usually get floats buoyant but what a pain! Does anyone have this problem or know what's going on?

Hard to say without seeing the inside of the carbs but I would start by pulling the carbs apart and thoroughly cleaning them.

I should have mentioned that both carbs are completely clean.

id say theres shit behind the seat, regardless of how clean the carbs were going on, stuff can come in from the fuel line/petcock or tank and cause this. were the needles replaced with viton tip ones? if not, id consider it.

I can't fix stupid , but I can give it a bill !

I will open them and inspect. What are viton tips?  Is that something that hvc carries?

Viton is like rubber, seals well against the brass seat.
