I wish mine was the blue version instead of the pink/purple.

What's the reason for letting it go?
Unavailability of parts, no time to ride...?

I believe the early side exit exhaust TS crank is like the TM400. The center exhaust TS has the full circle cranks.
I checked with bill Bune in Minnesota, and they do not do balancing

Dunlop alpha 13's were the way to go a few years ago, but impossible to get here in the states.
I have Avon am22 and am23's on my RZ... but they are pretty old, and seem to be no longer available.
I have been looking as well with little luck.

Look for a set of magnesium wheels if you want a period correct look.
I have some Dymags off an old race bike on mine.

I will be getting my TS/TM balanced when I send my parts out, as I have the same piston.
I built an over bore RGV250 into a 300 with a brand new NOS crank, without balancing for the pistons. And it definitely has more vibes than my standard bore RGV's.

Auctions Yahoo would be the place to look for MC11 parts.
Pretty sure most parts are NLA from Honda, I know they are for NSR250's
Pretty sure the frame on the NS250R is the same basic frame/bodywork as the NS400R

Just saw this
Hopefully I will be able to resolve several of the issues described in the article.
Mine will never go off road...purposely.
So it gets sticky tires to solve one problem. Lost some weight with a pipe and aluminum rims.
Sintered metal grooved brake pads, and drilled out hubs and brake plates should help it stop better.
It will get new rear shocks that will be designed for the street with some adjustability, as well as fork emulators, to solve handling.
Regeared it to get a little more speed, although still under 100 at redline in 5th.
Using a TM400 based engine, along with a bigger 34 mm carb, so it will gain a good amount of instant power when unexpected.
Plus..... it's different, as I have never seen another one, other than pictures.
....although I have seen a couple TM400's at shows....

And the engine is stone axe simple

In process

Just about to the point of stripping the bike 100% apart now that I know how I want it to look....

I got a Jemco made up for my TM/TS400 project. Took about 8 weeks, looks pretty nice, but not necessarily inexpensive.

Spokes tightened and trued up.
Tires mounted and balanced, confirming that I will have chain clearance and I believe clearance for my front brake torque arm.

Slow progress on the TS/TM400
Collecting bits for it has been a challenge to some degree, but eventually finding what I want.

New pipe, ignition, carb, bearings throughout, piston, TM400 trans and so on....

I'm sending my TS400 crank and TM400 cylinder to Bill Bune in Minnesota. He did my RZV500R cranks and cylinders, they looked and have been excellent so far.

Right side seal needs crank out.
