Title: Refurb crank with new bearings rd400
Post by: rd400greenhorn on March 26, 2021, 06:28:27 AM
Hi guys
Got My rd400 crank rebuild, He has used bearings that dont have that pip that sits in the hole on the cases.
How do I go about it when the bearings are just smooth?

Just a drop and I mean a drop, on the bottom of the case where each bearing rides, of green cylinder loctite 603. I had a bottle of it somewhere and I think it's long gone now. Oops.

What is more critical, is the groove in the RH main bearing,  for that semi-circlip that takes up axial (thrust) forces.
