(not mine)

Didn't even know there was a place called Pumpkin Center, never heard of it.
Early production bike. Pretty nice. Wonder what electronic ignition it has? (Or maybe the owner is confused with the 3J7 version).
That front brake hose is stretched pretty darn tight!

Well, I inquired and no electronic ignition. Also the oil pump is still in place with the cable is disconnected.
It seems to have more issues than the few I noticed at first glance.

It does have issues. You would think the seller would fix those things before listing it because I think it would really pay off.

What does The bike is registered as Planned Non-Operation in the state of California mean?

I agree. Loose ends really do not show well, and get picked on in the comments. If the seller can't be bothered to connect the oil pump cable, what other potentially catastrophic shortcuts have they taken that we're not seeing?

If you have a vehicle that will not be used on public roads for a period of time the state allows the owner to place it on PNO status. It basically puts the registration on hold until it's ready to be registered again, but keeps it in the system. This is usually done when putting a vehicle in long term storage, performing a restoration, or doing major repairs. Keeping a vehicle on active registration means the owner must pay reg fees annually (approx $125/yr and up) and maintain liability insurance as well.

Alternatively, if you don't put a vehicle on PNO and fail to pay registration fees for a period of time, you will be responsible for payment of back fees and penalties when you attempt to register it again in California. In some cases the back fees due can be more than the value of the vehicle. (It's just another way for the state to get $$ and to get ICE vehicles retired and off the road.)

What SoCal said.

I have many non-op registered bikes. Registration for these 30-40 year old bikes is now $161 annually. Just paid one. It goes up each year. Many years ago it would go down every year. For a bike I might ride 4 times a year that's a $40 per ride fee. Fucking rip off in this beautiful state. I only have 3 bikes with "active" reg ATM.

Many years ago I got away with a statement of facts from the PO to bypass the 12 years of back reg fees but I don't think that would fly any more.

Wow, in NY motorcycle registration fee is $17.50 a year and you can leave it unregistered for as long as you want for no fee, just show up with the title when you do want to re-register.

Same here in Florida.
Just went & got Titles only.
Had to sign a form saying you would not drive it on public roads,  that's it.

Of course, you have to pay them their taxes based on sales price.

Here in the Commonwealth we are allowed to run antique tags. $50 one time fee and no renewals required forever. No annual safety inspections required ever either. But the bike or car has to capable of passing inspection. The restrictions are few and so long as you don't flagrantly violate them the cops pretty much leave us be. The restrictions are :
Cannot be used for daily transportation. ( But ulimited operation for " testing and tuning is allowed"). Cannot be operated more than 250 miles from home. I asked a StateTrooper about that one as Deals Gap is 500 miles away and he laughed at me and said "Who is gonna know unless you tell them"? The one thing I have seen people get messed with for is taking trash to the dump or going to Lowes for lumber, towing a trailer, etc in a truck or car with antique tags. They don't like that. But the worse they can do is ticket you and force you to register it with a regular tag. You can also revert to regular tag status at will with no penalty.

Sold for $14,250 on 3/29/23

The seller stated that it had been on display for over a decade after restoration. Pretty cool that it was hanging from the ceiling in Lengthwise Brewing.
