I reached out to Bill Bune (Minnesota) from a recommendation on this forum and his prices seem very reasonable, Has anyone had extensive porting and or boring work done, and if so what were your thoughts?  Also any advice on using Banshee pistons in an RD with the skirt modifications needed?  Thanks, Brian

I take it that is the polished steel finish?  I have been looking at the "mop n glo" treatment for the raw steel or the polished, still on the fence regarding which path but all research I have conducted is that the quality of these pipes and "lead time" to order/receive/price seems very reasonable as compared to SpecII's or JL's.

I agree, I was thinking these may have been more conventional with a left and a right, not both exiting the bike on the right side.  These come in raw, polished or painted.  I had a set of JL stainless few years back and liked the look, was concerned with mild steel how these would patina as my current bike with DG's is black, not a fan of painted chambers so most likely will pursue raw or polished, just uncertain as to which one will hold up better

I reached out to Jemco to inquire and they sent me the following:

Brian we build a set of cone expansion chambers with repackable silencers for the Yamaha RD350. The expansion chambers are designed to improve performance
as well as increase lean angle but do require removal of
the center stand. The handmade cone expansion chambers
sell for $795.00 plus tax and shipping. Current build time is 4 weeks. The expansion chambers are made from mild
steel and come in a choice of a raw, polished or high heat
black paint finish. Let us know if you want a set and we will send an invoice and add it to our production schedule.
Thanks for the inquiry

I know these are not SS, but price did not seem to out of line.  Any feedback from members who have used these?

I have corresponded with him and he is looking for a batch run of 8 to 10 pipes to be profitable, else his labor rate is now $150 per hour with a 6 to 8 month lead time.

Further research states that these are MotogpWerks exhausts sold under this company.

Has anyone used these and if so, what are your thoughts on fit/finish/quality/performance?  Google search of their website indicated that these are ~ $450 plus shipping.  Shipping from Anaheim to Pittsburgh is 70 bucks, which is reasonable.

Thank you for the reply and photos, will work on this weekend.

Had a question about the factory voltage regulator for a 75 350B. Does the adjustable metal contact (portion that is bent using pliers) actually touch the thin sheet metal spring steel to make contact when bike is not running and turned off or is there a gap between this and the thin sheet metal?  I adjusted as mine was overcharging *(by bending this tab downward) and now it wont charge- -may have went too far, thinking it may need to contact or a specific gap needs maintained.  Would anyone have a picture of this, looked in factory service manual and it states to move this but no close up pic.
  Thanks, Brian

Appreciate the feedback. As these bikes get 'older', the skillsets and individuals who work within/run competent machine shops (specializing in these bikes) are getting harder to find as people are aging out.

Wanted to ask some of the forum members who(m) they would recommend for machining services.  I have some feedback already, wanted to get a larger consensus of anyone reputable in the continental US, quick search yielded few results.

Thanks, Brian

Agreed, with broken fins to boot.

Throttle was roughly at ~3/4+ when this occurred. I have a 220 main in it now, may go to a 230 , but need to buy some more as 220 is largest I have at present.  Thanks for the input.

07/22/23 update.  I ended up putting on banshee intakes and a crossover tube, 3/8" thick reed spacers and upped my pilot to a 30 and main jet to a 220 (from a 27.5 and 200's, clip still in middle position). With the spacers, I did not need to cut the ears off the banshee intake, just cleared. Upon startup, idled higher so set this back to 1500 rpm and took it for a rip.  This time it broke up at 6K rpm (from 5500) but made it thru and pulled hard until I dropped out near 9K.It could never pull past 5500 before.  To me sounds like it was starving for fuel and I must have been experiencing the mid range stumbles I read about.  My 73 with stage 1 top end from Chuck Q never missed a beat all the way to redline.  wondering if I should go up on main again or move needle clip, wanted to get some ideas.  Thanks, Brian

Correction, I installed BR8HS plugs within bike.  Most likely will cobble together a plug/switch combo at work this week and test next weekend powering coil directly from battery
