R5, DS7, '73-'74 RD250 drum front end triple clamps are 10mm skinnier than RD350 disc triples.
No mix n match, both top and bottom needed to convert.

The oval silencers on the Moto Carrera Millennium Sport pipes were FMF Power Core aluminum silencers  :twocents:
Correct Russ...they were the only pipes that used them yes??   Then the pipes were redesigned to Millennium GP and all had round silencers.

I think they're the later ones ( Pro Flo stamped in pipe) I dont think the earlier ones had the name stamped in them, but could be wrong.
Maybe the first gen Moto Carerra GP pipes were the only ones with the oval shaped silencers.

Turning Wrenches / Pro Flo pipes

Didn't the old Pro Flo RD pipes come with oval aluminum silencers like the original version of Moto Carerra pipes? Am I wrong?

That's a great idea ! COVID forward thinking 🤣

Wow....clueless !!! The first two sets of pipes are not RD, but 2 out of 3 for a triple ( look at the rear mount on one pipe, both the chrome J&Rs and the black set). The DGs are for RD400, not 350. This is why ebay is like a swollen anus anymore...too much overpriced junk and state sales tax added to boot .
None of the above Kleenex look like RD Toomeys either lol...I have a perfect set hanging in the expansion chamber department 😀

Is it the one on FB fs out near Pittsburgh?  Looks nice, all there minus seat. He dropped the price...reasonable for running with a title. A great excuse to install R5 jugs while rebuilding the engine

Be a little careful here. IIRC stock iron calipers have 48.00 pistons and the bores in the caliper are slightly larger and that's what those alloy pistons are designed to fit.

The alloy calipers have 48.00mm bores and slightly smaller diameter pistons.  Both types are notionally 48mm but one has smaller pistons and one has larger bores to get the required clearance.

If/when you order the alloy pistons be sure to measure the pistons and bores and let the seller know. I had that issue and he sent me a set of replacement pistons ASAP - excellent service and value.

Teazer is 100% correct on this...I have found the repro calipers bore and piston sizes are not consistent like the original 48mm pistons in the oem Yamaha calipers (probably when they do a certain number of production runs? I don't know how or why, but i'm done with it lol.) I took 2 different repro calipers apart and found 2 different bore and piston sizes...ever so slight, but enough to bind the alu pistons in repro caliper, but measure and work perfectly in the original Yamaha calipers as lightweight replacements. So to summarize... the Taiwan/China? aluminum reproduction calipers DO work great AS IS, and are a great value...they even come loaded with brake pads! They're much lighter than original calipers being aluminum bodies even with the steel pistons ( I use them frequently).
If you have original Yamaha calipers with rusty/pitted steel pistons, then our 48mm aluminum pistons are the way to go to lighten that heavy stock steel caliper. Every OEM caliper has the same size bore and piston...Yamaha consistency and quality.

You can still buy plunger shims in different sizes from Yamaha. .03 , .05 , and .10

I always make an additional ground harness with brass eyelets going from one of the rear upper engine case bolts to neg. battery terminal on every RD400 that's getting a Dyna ignition ( in addition to checking the factory grounds).I have had 2 different 400's drop a pick up module in the past. You can never have too many grounds.

You're right Mark...they're old Dencos. I have those same pipes ( other than internal silencers) on my R5.

I had a set of SC stage 2+ cylinders  nicasiled @ Powerseal USA 10 + years ago for my '74. It's been thrashed for long periods of time on hot summer days many times...never any issues with excess heat or overheating.
