Text reads RD250. Not uncommon for FM titles to be very wrong.

When using glass (perhaps vapor honing an exception), please guard your breathing. Inhaled glass dust can lacerate the linings of sinus and lungs, leaving them open for infections. I suffered regular sinus infections and bouts of pneumonia until we stopped using glass beads at work and switched to fine aluminum oxide.

Very nice work! How did you do the built up section in the rear?
Big chunk of closed-cell stiff foam from packing and layered build-up of rebond carpet padding. I tried to buy foam for motorcycle seats at a local foam outlet, and they said they don't have anything stiff enough - get rebond.

Not just removing the balls, but cleaning the tiny air jet behind them?

Sorry you snagged a 'Rona bug. Hope no lasting effects. Nothing wrong with a 'glass seat pan. I have one on my '78 GL1000. Was easy to build up the seat shape desired with rebond carpet padding layered with 3M spray adhesive (the kind they use on headliners). Shaping with electric carving knife (NOT the wife's!) And course sanding disk. Hardest part is attaching the cover. I had an upholsterer sew and attach mine he said the 'glass kept bending the staples, but agreed that spray glue does a good job. Later, I learned that (carefully drilled - use a stop) pop rivets are probably the way to go.

Good! What was the culprit?

If the snail worked in original configuration, I don't see why it wouldn't as a down pipe. Someday though, your artist's eye will get you in trouble. Until then, still waiting for the panty-dropper trike.

I'd live with the fading and just return the shine to the clearcoat.

Maybe not "proper", but I'd rather ride fairly new Cheng Shins than 20 year-old 'Stones.

You might consider reset-able circuit breakers that you can reach in the cockpit. Burning a wire isn't too bad. You don't want it to burn down the while car!

Sounds like they are bucking to be FIA regulators.

I do Barber instead.

Refinements is where I like  to see things change. It isn't often (you have to be way off) that a "swing for the fence" change works out. Often just a small change makes a big difference. Important for reliability, as it is an indication that things are staying pretty close to where you set them.

My primary use for FB is to keep up with family and friends. When they get political or post too much crap they saw on the web, I unfriend them and go on. I've tried the groups, but church is about the only one I've any use for.
