I don't live near there but have been many times for work.  Usually get there a few times a year.

I dig it!  It gives it a good low lean look

This builder has done a few other pretty cool bikes as well, welding skills are insane.

These are awesome and run like sewing machines!.  I just sold my L5T at Vintage Days last weekend and I know I will regret it.

My strategy is to use extra parts to hit a price point in negotiation of the deal.  If I sell a bike for $5K obo and someone comes at me with $4500 I will agree on that price, then say if you give me the full $5K I will throw in the boxes of parts.

I'll be there in the swap meet.  Bringing my RD, an IT200 and a little MTD mini bike.  It's my favorite event of the year.

I'll keep my eye out for your RD, it is a cool build!

All seem like great options.  I will say, I have had fun on the HyperStrada that I picked up last year for similar reasons.

Events / Anyone coming to Mid Ohio this year?

First year going, anyone from the forum racing or coming to watch?  I am just there watching this year but bringing my RD, GT80 and Trailmaster100 to get around on.  May be looking to do a little buy and selling as well, looks like a great event.

For me it all depends on the tire, I have the harbor freight thing and even some 3dprinted adapters that allow it to actually hold the rim.  it works decent on regular size wheels but not on most smaller ones.  My local shops charge $50 a wheel but if the rubber is stiff it is worth every penny.

i've seen the zip tie trick, i'll give that a try next time.

That G3 would have been hard for me to sell, that thing was awesome!  But also so is the Grom.  To be fair I think I have a thing for the small bikes

I have also confirmed that B8HS has been discontinued however they still make the B8HS-10 for the marine industry.  What I have read is it is the same exact plug as the B8HS but gapped differently.  I bought a set and compared, everything looks identical but the gap was consistently larger.  I adjusted the gap and have been running them and everything seems good.

Not sure if anyone else have tried these but they are readily available and decent prices.

Does anyone think the fairings could cause too much heat in the cylinders?  Is it just a coincidence that he is stating that the lower fairings are currently not on the bike and it happens to have new bore/pistons?  I obviously know there are plenty of air cooled bikes with fairings, just curious if how they allow wind to flow through them can make a difference?

For example I have an air/oil cooled GSXR and that engine with the fairings gets much hotter than say a Bandit engine of the same design on a naked bike.

Great looking bike, I remember seeing it at NJMP a few years back.

Just to spectate at that event, I go back and forth about bringing my Rd to the track but haven't been confident enough in it to do so.  I run an R6 at NJMP and Pocono for track days but haven't moved up to racing.
