The 4-Stroke Blasphemy Forum / Re: I want 2 of them

I raced a couple seasons on the 2010 Ninja 250R and had an absolute blast with it.  I would love to ride one of the new ZX250Rs but doubt it will have any merit in the race scene as the little bikes have all moved up in cc's to the 390

Many years ago I started a project 1973-5 RD350 and was documenting the build thread in the old forum.  I won't bore you with the details but the bike hasn't run in 9 years now after initially catching the seat on fire while on the charger.

After poking and prodding by friends and family, after 2 kids, 3 houses, and a couple states I finally decided to get her back up and running again.  One thing I never got around to doing the first time was relocating the battery and VR/R.

I have an Oregon Motorcycle Parts combined Voltage Regulator/Rectifier that worked well.  Now I am looking to eliminate the battery box by moving to a alarm system battery that I can hide under the seat and was wondering if I can hide the VR/R in the toolkit compartment under the tank.

Other bikes need the VR/R to be exposed to open air for cooling purposes.  Is the RD one that will put enough current to the regulator that I need to be worried about overheating or melting?  Has anyone else tried locating it there?

Any suggestions if you no longer have the bill of sale for the frame?  Long story short, I combined two dilapidated bikes in to one running one in 2011 and never titled/registered it.  9 Years later I get the bug to get the bike running again and actually put it on the road and the BOS I have is for the frame I did not use.

Has anyone had any luck completing an application for new title?  I am based in Maryland for context.
