Title: Sourcing a Screw Under the Clutch
Post by: 2steve on April 18, 2019, 08:42:07 PM
Split the cases today to change seals.  Not wanting to waste that good money spent on Chuck doing an update porting job on the RD400.
Someone has been in here...
Anyone know a good source for this screw?

Yeah 6mm. Measures 5.85 mm on the threads,  11.8 mm head diameter and 15mm OAL.
Thanks guys!

I can drop by and buy from you Mark.

Chuck, I have a way to go here but can't wait to run it. Been wanting to do this for a long time. Your work looks good!

I have used Allen Head countersunk screws to replace the OEM crosshead (JIS) countersunk screws on this retaining plate, and also for the neutral switch. Torx head would be even better, if available.

Stripped mine yesterday as well...Even hit it with am impact screw driver. Needed to use screw out, but replaced it with another one I had on hand.
