Funny how things turn out. My first RD was a 76 which I bought my junior year in college in the early 80s. This time I wanted to go older school, meaning spoke wheels and a little more raw. I have quite a lot of parts new and old, so adding another 400 would be like starting over in that regard. The 73 is essentially a 74/75 with the clutch upgrade. Both my 74/75 have 520 chain kits ready to go on. I consider my 75 done, and the 73 I won't do anything to as it's exactly the way I want it to be, but maybe will try manifold spacers since I have a set and see if it makes much difference.  The 74 is going to be a project, nothing radical aesthetically. Just some mild engine work (crank, upper end, CDI, maybe new low top or flat sided carbs), rear sets, gold 520 kit with 14/39 gearing, and I was thinking sun aluminum rims anodized gold to give it a slight flash. Only thing not working is the brake light switch from the hand brake, and the shipping leaked fork oil onto the front brake.

Hello once again, I'm James, born in NC but live in TX thanks to 24 years in the AF. I joined a year ago after buying Turtle's 75 RD350 that is featured in Chuck's HPI install discussion. I later acquired a 74 350 that's a completely stock looker, runs, but have yet to tear into it (been collecting parts from HVC and EC). I now just purchased Brian K's 73 350 which also has a lot of Chuck's work on the motor. Should receive that one in less than 2 weeks I hope.

For the 74, I originally was going to keep it stock for two up riding, but the 73 will be better for that, so I plan to get with Chuck and actually spend some money direct for a change and get it sorted probably a stage 1 build with DG heads (and old set I have) or a set of new HVC heads I have and probably DG pipes just for the retro aspect.

I need stock seat trim if anyone has a nice one.  I don't see the trim on EC or HVC as of late.

Looking forward to being on here a bit more, getting to know you guys better, etc.

Cheers!
