General Chatter / Re: Expansion Chamber from Indonesia

Looks pretty good. The guy who welded that did a neat job.
Ive seen a lot of complaints about the indonesian pipes regarding design and quality and welds cracking, but never from anybody who actually owned a pipe or has any evidence of the issues.

The guy in India making the billet aircooled heads is also making billet LC heads now.

Quote from: Dvsrd on October 09, 2023, 01:11:01 AMWhen I read the dimension table, it appears that the belly section diameter is around 150 mm. This is way more than normal. I'd say somewhere between 90 and 110 mm seems more appropriate for a 185 cc single. In AG Bells book, the belly should be around 2.5 times header diameter, max. That would be the header diameter next to the port if using a tapered header.

The 60's and 70's design formulas like Bells have been left behind a long time ago. Much larger belly diameters are common now as is bigger stingers and stinger length considerations.

Quote from: kramdua on January 23, 2023, 06:51:22 AMthey are ProX with the tab removed.

If you dont mind me asking, Why do you remove the tab?.

AC motor does not have a bridge on the intake  and the tab can catch in the port id left there.

Australia seems to be the same, and everything is crazy expensive there.

Only 130hp for over 1300cc. Not really that impressive. A stroked big bore CPI cylinder Banshee or RZ engine can make that much power on naturally aspirated carbs

The plastic gear is the priming wheel.

There were different size seals in the kit I used. Had to pick and choose the correct one.

Turning Wrenches / Re: RD400 Transmission For RD350

I remember when I had a stock 350 it used to struggle in 6th sometimes and I was constantly dropping down a gear to get the revs back up. In 5th it would scream and in 6 it would lug and revs would keep dropping.

You mean the gasket like this?
they go rock hard after time and heat cycles. I use a thin flat screwdriver to scrape them out in pieces.Screenshot 2023-09-07 at 13-48-06 Motorcycle Exhaust Gaskets and Seals for Yamaha RD350 for sale eBay.png

Quote from: Milan on September 06, 2023, 01:05:48 PMDoes not seem to mention if it has a Title or Not?

M

On the right hand side it mentions clean title.

From what I have seen lately that seems to be a pretty good price

Quote from: dgorms on September 04, 2023, 01:36:37 PMWell, I do have an extra RZ motor laying around!

I was thinking the same thing, but getting it across to Canada without papers may be a huge pain in my ass
