General Chatter / Wheel chocks
April 04, 2023, 09:03:18 PM
Hello, Just got a small 5x8 enclosed trailer. Pretty sure I can get two RD's inside. Anyone know of a brand of wheel chocks that will fit the narrow front tire. Also just an overall good product. I'm okay if I have to secure it to the floor. I'm sure there are 100 companies out there but I thought someone here could tell me the exact brand they have, have used, or have seen in use. Thank You!!

General Chatter / DG head anodizing
March 25, 2022, 02:05:31 AM
Hi. Anyone know of an anodizing service that could do my DG heads. They are for my Daytona. My stock Daytona head is fine but needs cleaning/ polishing. I just figure when I sell the bike it needs to look good with either set of  head/heads. They have been cut an o ringed by Scott C. Any help with this service appreciated.

General Chatter / MC rearsets

Hello. How much should I expect to pay for a new set of MC rearsets for 79' Daytona? I posted this in the for sale category. My mistake.

General Chatter / Daytona fork legs
September 26, 2021, 01:19:39 PM
The lower fork legs on my 79' Daytona had the obvious clear coat issue from age. Luckily I found some NOS ones. I'd like to recoup some cash by selling the originals. I have use of a soda blaster to strip the old clear coat. Should I try to re-clear or sell them just bare aluminum and let new owner do what they want. Thank You

The MC rearsets are new. Gotta throw that out in case I can't find chambers. Would be ok with a nice used set .

General Chatter / Daytona chambers

Hello. Who sells 79 Daytona chambers? I have a nice set of JR chambers that utilize the stock header pipes. My problem is I want to put on a set of MC rearsets I picked up a while back but they won't fit with the setup I have. It's either sell the rearsets or buy pipes that they can be used with. Thanks.

Hi guys. Is the Rick's reg/rec. an easy install on a 75 RD350? Sorry if this has been addressed before. This has got to be a good upgrade. Any advice or tips. Thank You.

Hi I use a Mr. Heater overhead propane unit. Think it's 70,000 btu's . Hot Dawg is another brand. They need the double walled pipe to be vented outside but my actual heater was 5 or 6 hundred dollars. I just have a snowman propane tank behind my garage. Northern Tool sells the Mr. Heater and I have had it 8 years no issues.

General Chatter / NOS 1.85 rim
December 24, 2020, 08:03:35 PM
Hi. Any idea what a new 1.85 Takasago rear rim should go for? The one I'm after is new but needs lacing. I have the OEM spokes. Hard to put a price on them I think. I have never laced one but with today's media I think I could get help. Thank You.

Hello. A lot of info on aftermarket rims. I would like to lace an OEM 1.85 rear rim for 75 350. I am not against paying for this but would try it myself over the winter in NH. Any suggestions or tutorials on this .I am using a new Yamaha rim and spokes. Fortunate to find both.

Thanks guys. Pipes on 400 are J&R. Found them brand new 300$. Those and a one size main jet change seemed to take the stumble around 4500 minimal.

Turns out that single slot just need a big flat head screwdriver. It was actually a big plastic screw that held on a cover piece. My helmet is probably older. Thank You!
