I've got a white gas tank, thst the clear coat has turned yellow.
Tried Ultra Cut Compound, but very little luck.
Is there anything more abrasive than that, that may work?

Or any other solutions?

wet sand to base color and re-clear, then, maybe. but otherwise, no. I wouldn't risk it.

I've had decent luck using mothers aluminum polish. try it in a small area. I use the same thing to polish hazed auto headlights and works great for that too.

Headlight polishing techniques might work. Google it.
www.chrislivengood.net - for my projects and musings.

If it happened once, it will continue to happen even if you can buff it out.
This isn't a rattle can clear coat, is it?

Milan

not a rattle can clear.
I believe it is the original tank paint & clear.
Bike was probably left outside al long time, but no rusting seen.

If I get it to whit, I will put a good wax on it, and it will be stored inside.

I am having some luck with the UC, but its going slow.

I will post some before / after pics when I get 1 side done.
