went out on the 1100 yesterday myself. clear roads around here, like really clear = extreme traffic law violations. :righteous:

that mural is epic.  :cheerleader:

Rode the Harley about 900 miles last week. Don't get envious I have a 200 mile round trip commute.  :bang:

That's what gets me not the lack of traffic but the empty parking lots. And yes can go any speed you want.

I'm sure Officer Friendly is doing his/her best to limit contact with the general public. Cannot say that I blame them. My ride to work is on a mountainous interstate so it's not totally boring and everythingis greening up as the temps increase. Not so bad. I do need to move closer to the shop.

Damn, man, that's a long way to work. When my one-way commute grew to an hour due to traffic, I changed jobs (from a big bike shop to a small one). Plenty of time in your own head, though, right?

My favorite place.  :haw:
Reminds me of a meme I saw...
"Walk a Mile in my Shoes? No Problem.
Spend 10 minutes Inside my Head. That'll freak you right the fuck out."  :haw:

I used to commute 120mi round trip, so I can relate :P

And yea, the wife and I took the Bandit into the French Quarter back when all this started. I've never seen it so dead on a Sunday afternoon.

I took a +130 mile ride in the canyons above Malibu, CA yesterday on the, (cough ) Bonneville.
Incredible weather, even for So. Cal. Hit all the best roads. Latigo cyn, Los Flores, Piuma etc.. stopped
at the, closed, Rock Store for a visit. Since I have been isolated at home for a month. It sure felt good
to twist the throttle cables and rub some rubber off the chicken strips of my Pirellis.
Got a Q: What years did the Butterfly blue come on RDs? I saw one going the other way, but, only had
maybe 1/10 of a second to see it. We were both knee down and carving a turn.
Since I am restoring my own '73 it was nice seeing one up and running like they should.
Cheers folks and stay healthy.
Jeff

Are these both 1973s? One with drum front brake and one with disk???  :umm:

Bottom image is 1973 USA. Could the top be the Canada version? It's in KM

Also, Butterfly Blue was stock on the 1973 RD60 too  ;)

EDIT:  I believe the EU got a 250 like the top pic in 1974. Same graphics and front disc. And I don't believe that bike in the image is Butterfly Blue.

Possibly... I'm a nOOb with RDs ya know... :vroom:
The one I saw had stock pipes, was blue and very quiet.
Went by too fast to see the front brakes. I don't think I have
ever seen another Blue RD in So. Cal. Do not remember seeing
one at the various 2-Stroke Extravaganzas I have attended.
It would have been cool to talk to the guy and see who he was.
Cheers, Jeff

Took a new ride today up to a place called Crystal Lake off Hwy 39. Did about 140 miles and went from sea level to just over 5800'
