Title: Vm28sc float adjustment on 1971 R5B
Post by: Greaser Greg on November 10, 2019, 05:00:47 PM
Where do people start for float arm height from gasket surface, with individual floats? Mine were set around ten, which is wrong, mm but one of my manuals says 15. I've found several other discrepancies, so I ask the masters! Do you measure at end of arm, middle, or by the spring pin on the valve?

15mm from gasket surface to tang where float sits with lever just touching tip of needle.  bend tab over needle, not each arm.  :twocents:

There are so many different numbers out there for float heights. I always try to get the arms parallel to the carb body base.
