My daughter rode her TU250 165 miles down through Vermont last week so Dad could pick it up, service it, and store for the winter. Last year I went up 1 tooth on the countershaft sprocket for better cruising. She took Rt.100 rather than the interstate. I asked if she had to stop for gas, and she said no. Anyway, I drained what ethanol gas was left in the tank. 1.4 gallons came out. It is a 3.17 gallon tank. What??? 1.77 gallons to go 165 miles!! 93 mpg.
TU250 specs:
326 pounds curb weight
24 HP
Fuel injected
84 mph top speed

those are fantastic little bikes. a friend of mine has one as a commuter. (that i talked him into). My only beef with them is the cheap look of the speedo needle. (I don't know why but it irks me to no end.) i was kinda sad to hear they quit making them.
Warning, image may be disturbing.

I am in love with those things. I love the black ones with the retro decal. My girlfriend just passed her exam on one of those. Man, would I love a bike that was not a gas guzzler.
Waaay better than a Rebel!
Would probably look good with a mild cafe treatment.
