Hi guys does anybody know if xs3600 wheels fit the RD400

It's not going to be a straight bolt-on. The 360 uses the same axles as the RD400F (15mm front, 17mm rear), which are different from the RD400C/D/E (although the 76-78 is also 17mm rear).
Front disc is a 1-piece rotor, same as the RD400F
Rear is a drum and rim width is 1.85

Thank you . I got an RD400 with Rd350 front forks and wheel ,have a chance to buy an XS whole bike for $150. think ill go for it . Has rear disk .

i had the same wheels on my rd for a while. i machined some adapters to make them fit, danny has them now on his monospine bike (27cycles).
while the forks int he pic are from an fz, even with stock forks you would have to work them on the front to get them right. not too difficult but just be aware. Unless you can just swap the xs fork lowers straight over.
then its a bolt on.

Thank you Mark ,as it turns out it's a XS500 he has two must take both for $150 each  don't really need two more bikes to get a set of wheels.

I think the XS forks are 33 mm if I remember correctly?

I almost threw an XS400 swingarm on my RD 350 to extend wheelbase and get rear discs in the process. Looked like it would fit. Might have had to mod the shock location, and prefer spokes.

Sold the 400.

Speaking of XS360 , I installed a 1976  XS360 swing on one of my Daytona  , 1 inch longer , the nice thing with this swing is that it use the same shocks length as the Daytona , the lower shocks mounting points are positioned higher to compensate for the greater angle . Height of the swing to the ground is the same and IMO it look better as the rear shocks are now at the same angle as the middle front side tube . I will weld a bracket for the torque arm .
