Where did you get that seat?  Looks like stock trim.  I really don't feel like searching through 67 pages of your posts - sorry.

I have 2 stock seats in great shape and was  considering having one modified to look like yours...

The TZs, Yamaha's production racer, had basically the same front end as the RD, ran a fibreglass fender with no brace.

They had 35mm fork tubes - not 34mm.

I'd be a lot more worried about the poor handling w/o a brace than fiberglass cracking....

Belated Happy Birthday - and I loved the one I had way back then - don't know what happened to it, but one of several moves was probably the reason I don't have it...

I was suggesting using the freeze to shrink the bearing and make it easier to get out.  Have used it on rusted studs and bolts on the o exhaust housings and manifolds...

Have you tried either Loctite or CRC freeze spray before trying to tap out?

Leakdown test involves sealing all intake and exhaust ports and seeing if crankcase holds pressure - labyrinth seal of no concern.

I just have to blast the fins and paint the cylinders before I start to put the engine in....

If you are putting an RD400 engine in an RD350 frame do you have to have pistons and cylinders assembled or can you attach Pistons and install cylinders with case in frame.

I'm thinking I remember that cylinders and Pistons need to be assembled first, but my memory is getting suspect...

I have a sign saying Kenny Roberts farted on my seat signed by him...

I use standard incandescent lamps, but put a coat of orangy/red nail polish on them for my '75 RD350.  Definitely like the warmer color.

Chevrolet engine orange is what I have my '75 project painted.  Awaiting application of decals and clear coating...
