SUPERTUNE

.007-.008 thou is stock. It is measured at the very top of the pump stroke. Measure in between the fender washer and the spool wheel.
With modern 2 stroke oils should be fine.
I do run more than that on my all out performance ported engines and is up to .012 to .015 on them.
They are in the 60hp range at wide open throttle on street with pump gas *93
or 40:1 premix.

I have a '71. Are the R5C's that much different? So far everything else has been right, except for some wire colors.
What do you guys use for shims in the oil pump?
This figure explanation has the colors right, but not the sides. The grey wire goes to the point on the right hand side of the plate, orange on left.
Every day above ground is a good one.
